All cockroach species are scavengers, feeding on garbage, dead insects, or human food, which they contaminate with their excrement. Because of the threat of transmitted diseases much effort and expense have been invested in the chemical control of this pest.
It’s up to you to create an inhospitable environment to discourage their presence by:
Inspect all incoming packages
Always store foodstuff in containers roaches can’t penetrate
Repair water leaks
Keep trash outside
Don’t let crumbs accumulate
Seal up cracks and holes in the walls to cut down on points of entry
Store firewood away from the home
Do not store newspapers and/or any cardboard material
A few treatments are normally needed to bring a bad roach situation under control. When the first “cleanout” treatment is done you will be required to empty any cabinets, bottom of closets, under beds where you are seeing roaches. The first follow-up should be done two weeks after the initial treatment and then monthly service should be used until you feel the problem is eliminated or under control.
